A Chair For Reading

A Chair For Reading

I have been going over my past work and this is one of those projects that I will never forget. It came from the heart.

Not too long ago, I think it was Year 1 or Year 2, I had a project for my 3D class at OCAD, to design and build a light fixture that meets the following requirements.

Depending on your luck, you could draw only two pieces of paper – floor, table, wall – and – read, eat. With my luck, I picked out ‘read’ and ‘floor’. What?! I have to read ON the floor? Who does that?! But the answer was right in front of me.

The cute munchkins are my inspiration – my nieces!

After endless nights of doodling (it really was only 6 nights and days), tracing, cutting, wire stripping, snipping, sewing and stuffing, this is what I ended up with…

I managed to carry it into class without knocking one down, or getting struck by a car.

It fits her just fine, and with room to grow!

This was definitely one of the most memorable projects during my University studies.

How can you forget a big bunny with ears that light up?

DJ Knocturnal

The Brief: DJ Knocturnal (a.k.a. Norman) needed a simple website to promote his DJ services for weddings and corporate events. His only request was to include a space to commemorate his friend Ming.

The Solution: Designed a WordPress template for him to post his music and blogs. A ‘Memory’ page was created in the style of a photo gallery slideshow, which allows the user to add photos of any size and orientation.

Revay and Associates Website 2010

Revay and Associates has specific requirements for the website. They want to take totally different direction, from flash based website to pure HTML, with strong emphasis on their consultants and projects.

The website was revitalized by introducing more colours, adding project profiles, improving the user experience, and it is now search engine friendly.
